We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to lead operations at our Architectural Precast Concrete Plant. This is not a general warehouse position — this is a working concrete plant environment that requires specific concrete production and maintenance experience.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in concrete manufacturing, quality control, and equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for managing daily plant operations, overseeing maintenance schedules, and ensuring the consistent production of high-quality concrete.
:: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ::
- Concrete Production & Operations: Direct and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, safety standards, and output goals.
- Quality Control (Primary Duty): Ensure the quality, consistency, and strength of all concrete products through continuous inspection and testing. This is a core responsibility of the role.
- Routine & Preventive Maintenance: Manage all plant maintenance to minimize downtime. Oversee mechanical troubleshooting, coordinate repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Personnel Management: Supervise plant employees including batch plant operators, equipment operators, and laborers. Manage schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Inventory & Logistics: Monitor material levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain required stock and delivery flow.
:: QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE ::
- Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in precast or ready-mix concrete production (no exceptions).
- Required: Strong knowledge of concrete batching processes, mix designs, and mechanical systems.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to manage preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot issues, and supervise repair work.
- Required: Proven track record of ensuring quality control in concrete manufacturing.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams, maintain production discipline, and communicate effectively with management and vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and practical skills for resolving production or equipment issues in real time.
- Physical Role: Must be comfortable working hands-on in a plant environment.
:: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS ::
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
- Must be bilingual (English & Spanish preferred)
- Must know how to operate a forklift and other machinery
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable car
- Must have experience managing teams in an industrial or plant setting
:: SCHEDULE ::
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends as needed
