We are currently interviewing for an independent and dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our QA team in the Islandia Culinary Center.

This position has direct responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement.
Continually enforce and verify food safety and sanitation policies throughout the plant
Verify Sanitation of Production Rooms and Equipment nightly.
Documentation verification, review and filing
Listeria testing.
Instrument calibrations.
Monthly glass, brittle, and plastic inspection
Monthly food safety inspection
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent required
Proficient with all computer applications in order to perform the job
Bachelor's degree- science concentrations preferred
Experience as a QC technician, preferably in a USDA inspected facility preferred
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Experience in training and coaching team members
Experience with basic lab procedure
Good verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of Spanish a plus
HACCP certification and enforcement experience are helpful
ServSafe certification helpful
GMP certification helpful
Work Schedules: Mon-Fri 6am-3:30pm, Hours may vary
