Concern Housing is seeking an Accountant who will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial information, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. They will also responsible for the month-end close processes.
Position: Accountant
Location: Medford, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the monthly accounting close for all entities.
- Prepare financial and budget-to-actual reports for investors, funders and internal purposes.
- Assists with the annual financial statement audits.
- Record financial transactions through multiple sources including:
- accounts payable
- accounts receivable
- bank activity
- credit cards
- purchase orders
- Maintain client accounts.
- Special projects as needed.
- Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related business field preferred. Individual must be highly detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels in the organization is a must. Experience with NetSuite a plus. Experience in not-for-profit or real estate development a plus.
