Job Description: Church Administrative Assistant
Summary: Part-time position managing all aspects of the church office, as well as providing some clerical assistance to the Noah’s Ark Nursery School
Hours:
September-June: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
July-August: One day per week
Office closed on most school holidays
Responsibilities Include:
Serve as receptionist—answer phones, receive mail
Prepare, proof, and print weekly worship bulletins.
Update Church Website and Weekly electronic newsletter as needed, as directed by Pastor
Upload Videos to YouTube
Maintain church calendar.
Process bi-weekly payroll.
Pay church bills and prepare checks under direction of church treasurer
Enter weekly donation records to spreadsheets under direction of the financial secretary
Prepare outgoing mailings for distribution.
Prepare and print church documents, reports, and correspondence.
Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment.
Maintain and update membership records and mailing lists.
Requirements:
Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, Quicken, and Outlook.
Knowledge of website editing and social media.
Well organized, detail oriented, self-starter.
Ability to work independently.
Reports to the church Pastor.
