We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at Island Thrift. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of our store, staff, and customers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive shopping environment while preventing theft and ensuring compliance with store policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor store premises and customer activities to deter theft and ensure safety.
Check recipes at the door.
Ensure customers don’t have backpacks/bags.
Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
Respond promptly to any suspicious behavior or incidents.
Assist customers and staff as needed, providing a friendly presence.
Document and report any security breaches or incidents to management.
Qualifications:
Previous security experience preferred but not required.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
