Job Description:
A roofing canvasser or door-to-door appointment setter will:
Walk through neighborhoods, often targeting areas where we recently completed a project
Approach homeowners to discuss the condition of their roof
Provide initial assessments of roof condition (visually from the ground)
Educate homeowners on roofing services and potential issues
Schedule appointments for professional roof inspections or estimates by others
Collect contact information
May use tablet devices to show examples of work
Skills required:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and persistence (as rejection is common)
Basic knowledge of roofing and construction
Self-motivation and ability to work independently
Physical stamina for walking long periods
Sales aptitude
Neat appearance
