Please note this is a central vacuum company, not HVAC. Custom Vacuum Systems is an established family owned central vacuum company in business for over 50 years. We are looking for a part time (potentially full time depending on the individual) salesman / service mechanic to start ASAP (with a major emphasis on selling central vacuum product in-field - we are looking for someone who is a go-getter and wants to make that extra commission!). There is room for growth based on exceeding expectations - we are a growing company and we want you to be successful with us! Days will revolve primarily around sales / in-home service repairs and occasionally installing with a team member. Must be capable of working independently and efficiently. Experience with central vacuums, plumber's assistant, HVAC or appliance repair / troubleshooting and repairs preferred, but we will train the right individual (must have technical abilities). Hands-on training for sales/service/installation in the field with another technician will be provided. Providing positive customer service during in-field sales is a priority. If you are passionate about learning, have technical abilities, and / or if you have any experience in sales, then this is a great fit for you.
On top of hourly pay, sales commission will also be provided for any additional product sales generated in the field. Paid training is included. Our company vans are used during work hours. Work day is typically 8am-4pm. Paid vacation is included. Hourly pay will be dependent on experience.
Key responsibilities:
-Emphasis on selling central vacuum product
-In-home central vacuum sales and service work (we will provide training)
-Keep service vehicle clean
-Maintain a fully-stocked van for immediate in-field repairs / central vac product sales
-Assisting customers in a positive manner
-Occasionally installing new central vacuum systems (we will provide training if no experience)
Qualifications:
-Previous service / technician experience preferred, but not required
-Ability to schedule the upcoming work week in advance
-Experience in any sort of sales position is a major plus
-The ability to work independently and efficiently
-Problem solving skills
-Positive attitude
-Effective time-management skills.
-MUST HAVE a Clean drivers license. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME without a clean license.

-Drug and alcohol free
-Reliability is a MUST.
