Formula Boats is a prestigious and well-established luxury boat build-
er in Decatur, Indiana, known for delivering the ultimate in design
and engineering, elegance, performance, and craftsmanship on the
water. Present and sell our luxury boats to sophisticated and discern-
ing clientele. Guide customers through the boat selection process,
deliver exceptional service, and cultivate lasting customer relation-
ships. Your knowledge of Formula’s superior model lineup, and our
“Flex” and “Flex My-Way” customizing programs, coupled with your
sales acumen and passion for the marine lifestyle, will enable you to
excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, understand their boating needs and aspirations, and provide personalized guidance and recommendations.
§ Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Formula models, both new and pre-owned, including features, benefits, and technical specifications.
§ Consultative Sales: Assist customers in selecting the perfect boat, ensuring it aligns with their requirements, preferences, and budget.
§ Demonstrations: Conduct boat walkthroughs and sea trials to showcase the distinctive design and innovative features, the quality craftsmanship, and the superb performance of the boats, emphasizing the luxury experience.
§ Sales Process: Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing the deal, including negotiation and financing discussions.
§ Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers by providing ongoing support, service, and follow-ups.
§ Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to provide informed advice to customers.
§ Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, coordinate sales contracts, deposits, and financing agreements, and manage sales leads and quotes.
§ Customer Events: Assist in organizing and participating in boat shows, customer appreciation events, and promotional activities to advance sales and brand awareness.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in luxury retail sales, preferably in the marine
industry.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
to build rapport and trust with qualifi ed customers.
Passion for boating and a genuine interest in the marine industry.
Knowledge of boat fi nancing options and insurance is a plus.
Ability to work fl exible hours, including weekends and holidays, to
accommodate customer needs.
