Responsibilities:
- Provide hair styling and cutting services to clients
- Perform hair coloring, highlighting, and other chemical treatments
- Conduct consultations with clients to determine their desired hairstyle
- Recommend appropriate hair care products and treatments to clients
- Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction
- Upsell salon services and retail products to clients
Skills:
- Retail sales: Ability to promote and sell salon products to clients
- Hair threading: Proficiency in the technique of threading for hair removal
- Cosmetology: Possess a valid cosmetology license
- Upselling: Ability to effectively recommend additional salon services or products to clients
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Barbering: Knowledge of men's grooming techniques, including haircutting and shaving
- Store management: Experience in managing inventory, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean salon environment
- Mentoring: Willingness to mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on hairstyling techniques
- Retail math: Basic understanding of calculations related to pricing, discounts, and commissions
- Eyelash extensions: Proficiency in applying eyelash extensions
