Fab-Tex, a busy medium/ heavy duty truck shop located in Bohemia, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire a reliable, hard working “C” Mechanic/ Auto Helper to join our rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities:
Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, oil changes, mirrors and wipers installations, greasing trucks, lights on/ off, etc.
Maintains and keeps up to date all necessary work logs.
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems.
Requirements:
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (preferred) OR will train
The mechanic must provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance repair and diagnostics.
Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.
Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).
Must have great communication skills within a team environment.
Can work in a face-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.

The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is required to stand, walk, grasp tools, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit for an extended time period, lift/ move up to 25 lbs, and have good vision.

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time
Salary: 25 to 35 an Hour.
Schedule:
Part-time: Minimum 4 days, 5 hours per day
Full-Time: Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30pm
Overtime available - (Average 10 hours per week)
Must live within 40 miles of Shop
Work location: one location
