Job Overview:
Long Island Company seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians that have 8+ years electrical experience looking to hire. Primarily commercial work on Long Island on a per project basis. Travel to various projects.
Requirements:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Install electrical infrastructure in commercial- mostly power and lighting
- Perform electrical repairs and upgrades
-Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
- Collaborate with other construction professionals
- Must represent themselves and the company in a professional manner at all times
Experience:
- Proficiency in working with power tools and hand tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage applications
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices
- Ability to build and install electrical components accurately
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.
Must have OSHA 30 card
Clean NYS Driver’s License & transportation
SST helpful if you have it, not required.
Working knowledge of lift equipment.
