Nova Construction Services, a leader in New York City’s Exterior Building Renovation industry, operates under the EOS System and is known for exceptional project management and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work independently and with a team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized maintenance room and ensure tools and parts are properly stored and tracked.
Receive, inspect, and update tool status and location using Hilti OnTrack.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical tools, equipment, and perform minor electrical work on fleet vehicles.
Log all maintenance activities and update tool conditions (Operational, Broken, In Repair, or Retired).
Purchase parts as needed, maintain inventory in Excel, and ensure adequate stock levels.
Communicate with job sites regarding tool availability and coordinate with the Service and Maintenance Manager on asset tracking.
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspection, and repairs on Tirak Motors and Beta Max Hoists, ensuring proper part levels for in-house repairs.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support maintenance operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a mechanical or maintenance technician with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Proficient in Excel and familiar with asset tracking systems (e.g., Hilti OnTrack).
Tirak certification a plus.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Bilingual (Polish-English or Spanish-English) preferred.
Must be able to commute to West Babylon, NY.
