Contractor in West Babylon seeks solid (B or A) truck mechanic for Fleet of 24 Ford trucks (F250 through F750), utility trailers and construction equipment.
Hours: FLEXIBLE: FULL OR PART TIME: Morning 5 am prefered. Other hours possible.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Full or Part Time:
Skills to include: brakes, external engine parts such as starters, alternators, radiators , automobile lighting, front end work, diagnosing, tracing and repairing automotive electrical components, scanning and diagnosis and repair of any engine or drive train issues, all fluids etc. Solid B mechanic or higher.
REQUIREMENTS:
drug and alcohol free work place.
MUST be reliable and dependable. Excessive absences not permitted.
NYS Drivers License required. Max 3 points (for insurance) in last 4 years.
Solid experience for minimum of 1 year driving commercial trucks regularly.
SOLID Experience working on Ford F250 through F750. Minimum three years as professional mechanic working on trucks full time (30 or more hours every week) in a professional environment. (A shop, dealer, or private fleet)
MUST have own tools
MUST have a social security number. Job is on the books.
MUST be available to work during snow storms any day, any time it snows. Nights, days, weekends, weekdays, even holidays. Any day or time it snows. Extended hours during snow events.
