Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and replacing glass in various structures, such as windows, doors, and storefronts. You will also be involved in fabricating and cutting glass to fit specific dimensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and possess excellent craftsmanship skills.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install glass in windows, doors, and other structures
- Fabricate glass by cutting, grinding, and polishing
- Install weatherstripping and sealants to ensure proper insulation
- Repair or replace broken or damaged glass panels
- Work with various types of glass, including tempered, laminated, and stained glass
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure accurate installation
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate tools and equipment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with trim carpentry and cabinet installation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Experience in caulking and frame carpentry is preferred
Pay is based on experience. We are a small company that is growing quickly.
