Manage the day-to-day operations of a landscape design and installation services in Oyster Bay. Full time and in person.
Focus:
Interface with clients to address concerns, improve client relationships, and grow the profitability of the business. Cultivate new and existing clientele for the purposes of installing and designing the highest quality of landscape projects.
Qualifications:
Landscape design – minimum Five (5) years
Horticulture: Knowledge of plant landscape material
Previous experience in sales, customer service and other related field
Deadline and detail-oriented
Bachelor degree preferred
Responsibilities to include:
Computer-Aided Design
Management of employees of the business that may be required including and not limited to design office and production staff (when involved with landscape installation assignments).
Qualify potential clientele, meet and ascertain project needs and budgets.
Oversite of design support staff, existing and in the future.
Conduct field measurements of existing site conditions and work within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations, as needed.
Prepare conceptual landscape design solutions for consensus and approval by clients. Adhere to standard policies, procedures, and regulations of landscape architectural design.
Meet with subcontractors to develop job costing on elements not handled in-house to compliment and support design criteria. Prepare estimates and proposals for client presentation using QuickBooks estimating system.
Present final landscape design and proposals to clients for approval.
Upon approval and receipt of deposit for new sale facilitate permit applications, liaison with permit expediters, architects, engineers, etc. Create production paper work “work folders” for production team: Purchasing and foreman.
Review production folders with production head and job Forman, review project with production manager and landscape foreman (pre-job when possible).
Coordinate with subcontractors where applicable.
Periodic site visits to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsible for collection of accounts receivable as they relate to signed contract (Terms Sheet).
Confirm subcontractor invoicing against quote in order to approve payment to subcontractor.
Overview:
Ascertain client satisfaction at the close of project.
Be mindful and consistent of profit margins.
Responsible for quality control to ensure minimizing plant replacement costs.
