Group-A Racing is looking to hire another full time mechanic to work with us. We are a pro race team since 1996. We are the exclusive dealer of Radical Sports Cars for the entire North East. We have been adding more customers to the stable between the pro tour and other regional events so we are looking to add another full time person. In 2022 alone we wrote the record books many times over and won professional championships. Having won more in 2023-2024 looking to do more of the same in 2025.
If you have never worked on Radicals that is more than fine, but you must be willing to learn. Don't be intimidated by the term "pro race team" or "Race car." In many ways race cars are simpler and easier than street cars. We have other full time people to help ease you in. This is obviously an extremely unique opportunity especially here on Long Island. The job requires alot of travel. +/- a bit will do 75 days on the road during a 365 day timespan traveling all over the country to races & events. A heavy percentage of that travel naturally comes during the season itself so March - October. From October - February there is still some travel but at a much slower rate, with an occasional trip down to Florida, Texas for a winter event or two.
Working with us will entitle:
- Prepping Cars at the shop
- General work on the rigs, loading, unloading etc.
- Travel to work promo demo days at country club tracks
- Travel to work NASA & SCCA club racing events
- Travel to work Radical Cup events (Over 50% of these events are run on the Indy Car weekends.)
- Package parts orders to ship out to customers
If you already drive trucks or are willing/want to learn, that will be a tremendous positive for you and put you to the front of the line.
