We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Tile Mechanic with a minimum of 12 years of experience in both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in Schluter systems, including Ditra, Ditra-Heat, and Kerdi and should have the ability to work from plans, sketches or specifications. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication on the job.
Responsibilities:
- Install a variety of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.) in both residential and commercial settings.
- Apply Schluter systems, such as Ditra for uncoupling, Ditra-Heat for underfloor heating, and Kerdi for waterproofing in wet areas.
- Work from plans, sketches and specifications to ensure accurate tile placement and design.
- Prepare surfaces to ensure proper leveling, waterproofing, and readiness for Schluter installations.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on site for seamless project integration.
- Must pull mud and be able to work with self leveler
- Manage time effectively and work independently to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in professional tile installation for both residential and commercial projects.
- Schluter Expertise: Skilled in Ditra, Ditra-Heat, Kerdi, and other Schluter systems.
- Language: Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Tools: Must have own tools and reliable transportation ( Preferably a van).
- Personality: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, experienced in working independently, part of a team and most importantly great with customers.
