Our client - a major utility firm based out of Long Island, NY - has an immediate need for an experienced IT Systems Support Engineer. The particulars of the position are as follows.
More advanced professionals have multiple areas of in-depth technical expertise such as virtualization, database design and administration, networking, and advanced Microsoft knowledge including Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, SharePoint, and other software systems. Advanced individuals would be expected to provide technical and/or team leadership.
Responsibilities
Provides systems and technical support for servers and associated database applications.
Provides day-to-day maintenance of data centers, networks, applications, and end-user support, including installing systems, upgrades, problem determination, and resolution. Includes technical expertise in specific applications or systems with the ability to plan, design, document, and implement solutions.
