Tests and documents required parameters associated with all Energy Center equipment (both mechanical and chemical)
Assists Stationary Engineer in the operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, cogeneration and auxiliary equipment
Tests and ensures proper water chemistry of the boilers, chillers, cogeneration and cooling towers
Performs hourly rounds of Energy Center and log all parameters for review and repair as needed
Carries out preventative maintenance of associated equipment as required by Stationary Engineer.
Inspects cooling towers for proper operation including, but not limited to, gearbox oil, water level and steam injection system.
Records gas and fuel oil usage in outer buildings as required
Inspects the gas tranes for the Energy Center and Cogeneration Plant.
Conducts periodic inspections of utility pits containing utility systems to the medical center.
Assists Stationary Engineers in start-up, operating and securing all related systems.
Assists outside contractors in performing tasks related to the Energy Center.
Ensures the Energy Center is kept clean and orderly.Performs related duties as required.
ADA Essential FunctionsJob Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Mechanical Trade School, preferred.
Minimum of two (2) year plant operations experience, required.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
