Principal (Apollo Global Management LLC – New York, NY); Multiple positions available: Salary range is $280,000 to $320,000 per year. Drive financial services acquisitions and strategic investments across the capital structure, spearheading all aspects of deal process from thesis definition to due diligence, relationship development, analysis, negotiations, financing, portfolio company management/value-add, and exit. Assist with due diligence process, including all business, financial, legal, and technical due diligence. Maintain and form deep partnerships with existing and future strategic platforms across the organization. Negotiate transaction-related legal documentation, as well as internal and external communication. Partner closely with portfolio companies, evaluating platform and add-on acquisitions, as well as exit options. Acquire, create, and grow strategically critical businesses for Apollo by executing on investment opportunities with a wide range of complexity and risk/return profiles. Position based in New York, NY; telecommuting permitted up to once per week. Domestic travel required up to 5% of working time.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field and 4 years of experience in private equity, infrastructure project finance, or investment banking. Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following: deal execution, including managing due diligence processes and working closely with intermediaries throughout closing processes; deal sourcing to identify potential investment opportunities; financial modeling in order to evaluate returns and investment risks; portfolio and risk management; and, deal structuring to determine ideal transaction structures. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in New York, NY; telecommuting permitted up to once per week. Domestic travel required up to 5% of working time.
