Vice President, Portfolio Manager (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – New York, NY); Multiple positions available. Offering a salary range of $220,000 to $260,000 per year. Assist with the evaluation, execution, and monitoring of complex fund and investment-level financing. Source and develop financing arrangements for investments including residential mortgage assets, consumer finance products, and aircraft leasing. Collaborate with internal and external legal, tax and accounting professionals to design and develop optimal transaction structures. Work with counsel to review and update legal documents, prepare and review flows of funds and closing statements to coordinate execution and funding of financing arrangements. Work with lenders, portfolio managers, third party operating partners and others on maintaining and monitoring existing financing transactions. Work with Portfolio Managers to identify key risks, issues, and work towards solutions for currently financed investments. Review periodic transactions performance and cash flow reports, monitor collateral performance and evaluate transaction triggers, discuss with lenders to improve and refine financing arrangements. Work with operations to execute incremental borrowings for additional investments and repayments on existing transactions.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and five years of experience working in structured credit analysis. Must have experience in each of the following: financial modeling; transaction management and trade execution; financial analysis software including Bloomberg, Intex, or similar; portfolio performance monitoring; developing investment policies and strategies; and presenting investment leverage statistics and other investment information. Experience may be gained concurrently.
