Authorization Representative needed at Select Home Warranty
Exciting opportunities are now available for Authorization Representatives – Call Center. Select Home Warranty is quickly growing and we are recruiting motivated and team oriented individuals. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge and experience in dealing with customer service or claims authorizations. The Authorization Agent manages claims and provides education on policy guidelines and ensures the value of the product is effectively communicated to our customers. As an Authorization representative, you'll be involved with the initial screening of claims and ultimate resolution of claims. You will pre-screen service requests against our warranty coverage guidelines to clarify coverage with customers prior to sending out an independent contractor. You will be responsible to ask clarifying questions and negotiate rates, part prices, and length of jobs with these providers (when applicable). Must be organized, have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
● Communicates with customers by making and receiving calls to and from customers and service providers around claims resolutions
● Provide excellent customer service while communicating claim status and decisions
● Adjudicates claims based on the customer’s service agreement and established business rules
● Evaluates service reports for accuracy and equitable pricing
● Negotiates job length and parts costs with service providers, when applicable
● Screens pending claims for potential coverage
● Enters/updates provider application information into the Select Home Warranty, CRM
● Assists customer care organizations with technical expertise
● Other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and knowledge:
● Organized and detail oriented while maintaining a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
● Maintain professional demeanor while providing a high level of customer service
● Highly motivated and positive attitude
● Results-driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Education and Experience:
● College degree or equivalent business experience
● Home Services/Home Warranty experience a plus
