Vice President (The Carlyle Group Employee Company LLC – New York, NY); Multiple positions available. Offering a salary range of $250,000 to $260,000 per year. Perform senior secured bank loans below investment grade in U.S. and European markets. Deploy a disciplined, anticipatory investment approach to identify investment opportunities and to proactively manage both credit and market risk. Utilize a unique combination of stringent credit selection and monitoring and Carlyle’s proprietary tools and methodologies to avoid defaults and maximize recoveries. Engage in active trading to improve credit quality and retain responsibility for performing critical analysis of industry trends, economics and drivers, and financial modeling for proposed credit transactions. Manage the performance of investments and potential investments and evaluate due diligence of the same. Create investment papers and memos in line with Carlyle’s unique credit process and relevant investment templates.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field and 3 years of experience in corporate loan transactions. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: performing financial due diligence for potential investments; creating and maintaining financial models to monitor ongoing investment and potential investment opportunities; monitoring key metrics that impact fund performance, including growth, investment leverage, current leverage, size, price, and ratings; and, preparation and presentation of non-disclosure agreements to third parties during corporate transactions.
