Position: Guest Services
Pay: $18.75 per hour / ( $75 per 4 hour shift) 2 shows per day for 8 hours per day
Job Overview: The Big Apple Circus is looking for friendly and reliable individuals to join the Guest Services team. This role focuses on creating a positive experience for visitors by providing exceptional service, assisting with seating, and ensuring guest safety under the Big Top Tent.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and welcoming guests to the Big Apple Circus
Directing and escorting guests to their seats and different areas within the venue
Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned sections before and after the show
Working closely with the cleaning team to prepare for the next performance
Conducting visual sweeps of the Big Top for safety issues or lost items
Ensuring compliance with venue rules and assisting guests with disabilities
Attending pre-event usher meetings and undergoing any necessary training
Learning and following safety and evacuation procedures for the venue

Position: Security Guards
Pay: $18.75 per hour / ( $75 per 4 hour shift) 2 shows per day for 8 hours per day
Job Overview: F04 Fire Guard is responsible for monitoring the premises for fire hazards, assisting with evacuations, and ensuring that fire safety regulations are followed.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations throughout the venue
Conduct regular inspections of the tent and surrounding areas for potential fire risks
Maintain clear and accessible emergency exit paths
Respond promptly to fire alarms or emergency situations, guiding guests to safety
Collaborate with the operations team to implement and oversee safety measures during performances
Participate in fire safety training and follow Big Apple Circus evacuation procedures
Licensing Requirements:
Fire Guard F-04 License: Required for this role
Support Provided: The employer will cover the licensing fee for successful candidates they are moving forward with. The employer will pay for the first attempt at the exam; any additional exams are at the applicant's expense.
