We are currently looking for several individuals with excellent customer service skills to ride the New York transit system to distribute surveys to gather market data on the system. Project will last approximately 3 to 4 weeks and selected candidates must be available Monday thru Friday for 6 hourshifts in the morning, with some additional availability later in the day.
Surveyor Skills:
- Proactive approach in engaging with strangers to maximize response rates.
- Punctuality and adherence to schedules are crucial.
- Effective communication skills with rail passengers.
- Proficiency in using smartphones and tablet programs.
- Familiarity with Google Maps for route navigation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 7-8 hours) on moving trains.
- Comfortable asking personal travel and demographic questions.
- Must be polite
- Must be organized and efficient in distributing and collecting surveys if applicable.
- Provide assistance to passengers who have questions or need help completing the survey
- Must be articulate, assertive and reliable
- Must agree to a criminal background check
