Mulberry House is a playschool for children ages 2-4 in Bushwick inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. We are currently seeking an after-school teacher for our mixed-age class of children ages 2-4. Monday-Friday 2-6pm.
Requirements:
-Degree in Early Childhood Education or working towards an approved degree OR 2 years experience working with children ages 2-4 years in a licensed childcare program
-Must demonstrate a firm understanding of child development and appropriate practice
-Must be self-motivated, a hard-worker, quick to adapt and respond
-Must demonstrate professionalism in attire, attitude, punctuality, and attendance
-Must be available to work July 8 through August 16. We have a 3-week break until the school year begins on September 9. Contract includes the school year (September 9, 2024 through mid-August 2025).
This is a part-time, hourly position with room for growth.
