We are a new afterschool program in Queens providing tutoring and enrichment activities to pre-K -12th grade kids
1) seeking two dedicated and versatile after-school teacher/activities organizer to support pre-K - 12 grade students' academic progress across all subjects and facilitate engaging extracurricular activities.
2) also looking for an experienced LEGO or VEX IQ coach with high compensation.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Math and ELA academic subjects, proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students, or have experience in organizing sports, or STEM class, Chess, arts, music.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Enthusiasm for working with children and teenagers.
Reliable, punctual
Flexibility to adapt to different teaching and organizational needs.
Is willing to pick up kids from their schools (7-8 minutes by walk)
Pass a background check before being hired
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational background in teaching or related fields such as Arts, music, STEM, sports
Previous experience organizing extracurricular activities.
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)
Bilingual
compensation: $17.50 -$25 hourly based on experience for Teacher/Counselor/Activity Organizer, negotiated rate for LEGO or VEX IQ coach
Working hours are from 2p-6p Monday to Friday, or 9-12 pm or 1-4pm Saturday and Sunday
