A brand new preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Education Director to celebrate children and family's diversity, language, and culture.
Licenses & Experience
Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director:
NYS teaching certification in Birth - Grade two (or equivalent certificate from another state, which is recognized by the New York State Department of Education).
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years experience teaching Daycare
Minimum of 2 years as an Education Director (required)
Toddler or preschool teaching experience about 2 years
Skills & Knowledge
Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and carry out effective work plans
Strong ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties
Computer literacy
Music/Art background (preferred)
Social Media/Influencer experience (preferred)
Enrollment Growth
Organizes and executes community marketing events to drive awareness and grow enrollment
Uses social media platforms to effectively develop new leads
Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool program
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching staff
Collaborate with teachers to develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
Manage the preschool budget and handle financial responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and maintain accurate records
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including implementing health and safety protocols
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
