Brooklyn College of the City University of New York seeks a Doctoral Lecturer in Brooklyn, New York.
Responsibilities: The Doctoral Lecturer is responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in the Political Science Department. Duties include: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in topic areas of the Department of Political Science, including international relations, climate change, environmental racism, sustainability, global governance, international law, statistics, and quantitative methods; Teach and provide student guidance, and mentor undergraduates at all levels and master’s students in the department’s MA in International Affairs and Global Justice with respect to environmental politics; Demonstrate and utilize expertise and/or practical experience in the topic areas such as green transition, issues of concern to indigenous peoples, Global South-focused issues, sustainable development goals, and environmental racism; and other duties as assigned. Salary: $84,404.
Education: Master’s degree in Political Science or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related political science education positions. Other special requirements include: 1 year of experience with teaching and leading political science courses; 1 year of experience with designing political science coursework for undergraduate and higher levels; and 1 year of experience with mentoring undergraduate students in the field of political science.
