3K Program looking for Lead 3K for All teacher.
Candidate must be familiar with DOE regulations and follow DOH regulations.
The Lead Teacher is the heartbeat of the 3K classroom, promoting positive, mindful and intentional interactions with students, families and fellow staff members. A successful candidate will be a team player, implement health and safety procedures, facilitate smooth transitions between activities and plan and work collaboratively and proactively with all members of the classroom team and partnerships. The Lead Teacher provides direct, intentional, instructional activities, facilitating whole and small group lessons and experiences, manages the classroom in an atmosphere of positive encouragement and offers an environment safe for social and emotional growth and development with each child’s individuality in mind. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating a fun, academically focused and safe learning environment in which each child can develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and creatively.
Duties:
Develop, implement, supervise and adhere to program curriculum to meet academic and social/emotional goals
Interact and communicate with parents and guardians regarding class updates and the child’s progress, and encourage teacher/ parent partnership
Ensure the safety of children in the classroom
Manage classroom staff (Assistant Teacher, Teacher’s Aide)
Be a resource for parents, giving information, listening and offering suggestions
Complete progress reports and other documents related to the child’s progress, as well as maintain a smooth-running, functioning classroom
Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, routine and order
Be familiar and compliant with the agency, DOE/DECE and DOH classroom rules and regulations
Work in a collaborative environment
Classroom management experience
Other duties as assigned by the Director
Qualification: Bachelor's or Masters
Study Plan teacher welcome
NYS B-2 certification preferred
