Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of students. This role requires a commitment to educating middle school students, implementing effective classroom management strategies, and providing individualized support to meet the diverse needs of students.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for grades 6-8.
Deliver clear, scaffolded instruction in fundamental math skills (e.g., arithmetic, geometry, algebra), English language arts (reading comprehension, writing, grammar), and SHSAT preparation.
Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra help in their studies.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
Assist students with homework assigned by their schools.
Preferred
Working as a current NYCDOE teacher preferred.
