We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time tutor to join our afterschool program for elementary students. If you are passionate about education, best if fluent in both Chinese and English, and enjoy working with children, this is a great opportunity for you!
Job Responsibilities:
Assist students with homework assignments and academic enrichment activities in English (Chinese if applicable)
Teach and reinforce key concepts in core subjects (math, reading, etc.)
Check and review completed homework to ensure understanding and accuracy
Manage the classroom environment to maintain a positive and productive learning space
Help maintain a structured routine for students during the afterschool program
Qualifications:
Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Chinese (if applicable)
Experience working with elementary-aged children (preferred)
knowledge of core elementary subjects
Patience, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a structured classroom environment
Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff in both languages
Hours:
Part-time, typically from 3:00 to 6:00, Monday through Friday.
