Building Studio Architects is seeking a motivated, self-directed, proactive architectural professional. Our ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient in CAD drafting, knowledgeable about construction codes and standards, and an excellent communicator. Once hired, you will participate in all phases of projects from schematic design, through construction documents and construction administration for both new construction, and renovations in the residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.
This role will work on a wide variety of project types. BSA is a small, collaborative environment so you should be able to work both independently and in a team.
Tasks determined by experience level:
· Comprehensive architectural project management for small to medium-sized projects
· Code research and compliance documentation
· Schematic design through project completion including client communications
· All drafting and detailing for projects of various sizes primarily in NYC
· Administering junior staff if appropriate: redlining and leading project teams
· Coordinating engineering and other consultants
· Client interaction and project management
Software skills required:
· Autocad
· Revit
· Adobe Creative Suite
Experience Level and Salary Ranges:
Professional degree in Architecture or related field required for all positions; professional licensing is encouraged
· Junior Associate 3 - 5 years of professional experience: $60 - $70K annually
· Intermediate Associate 5+ years of professional experience: $70 - $80K annually
· Senior Associate/ Project Architect 12+ years of professional experience: $90+ (commensurate with experience)
