We are adding a designer / project manger to our design and sales team.
We design fabricate and install built-in cabinetry and furniture in New York City
This role consists of:
-Speaking over the phone and meeting with potential clients
-Pitching design solutions
-Providing estimates and quotes
-Producing design drawings and working with a client through the design phases of a project
-Creating shop drawings and planning for fabrication with the fabrication team
-Planning and coordinating the installation process
Our projects will be as small as a bookcase and as big as an entire apartment. You will be working on about 10-15 projects at a time at various stages.
Your Team is made up of 17 people. 5 people in the office working with you on sales, designing and planning for your projects. Lead cabinetmakers with teams on different projects. We are a close group with diverse backgrounds and a real passion for precision and the quality of our product.
We design in Sketch-up and use Trello and Hubspot for tracking projects.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with producing intricate detailed design drawings and talking through those details with clients. Our design ethos is function driven, with a focus on reliable practices and materials.
You must have experience with construction and the ability to anticipate and prepare for the problems that come up.
The position is full-time and in-person at our Brooklyn Navy Yard studio. The compensation is a combination of hourly pay and a job based portion of revenue.
