Seeking a Junior Structural Engineer. We are a small and growing structural engineering firm providing design services for residential and mid to low-rise commercial projects in NYC and Long Island.
A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required. Some familiarity with wood and steel design is necessary, however willing to train. AutoCAD experience is required. Inspection experience is a plus. Position to start full time in office with the option to transition to part time remote over the long term.
Typical position responsibilities will include.
- Preparing structural drawing sets.
- Designing structural elements utilizing design software (Enercalc, VisualAnalysis, or similar).
- Performing hand calculations where necessary.
- Performing site visits and preparing inspection reports.
The position will be paid hourly based on a 40-hour work week.
