Sr. Cloud Architect - Azure
Perm/Direct Hire/Remote (some travel after covid)
Our Cloud Professional Services team helps provide consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud. We support and encourage a collaborative approach to cloud adoption, sharing best practices, helping change the culture of teams and strategic support to ensure success.
What will your role be?
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to drive the adoption of cloud services and to inspire customers to innovate using public cloud. We firmly believe that the technical leadership we provide as architects is only as good as our experiences implementing solutions within the industry.
• Technical Leadership - Providing overall technical leadership and direction on project engagements for a number of individuals. Identifies technical opportunities outside immediate area of project responsibility
• Stakeholder Management -Guides and influences technical and commercial Director/VP stakeholder relationships
• Delivering architecture design and implementations in AWS, Azure or GCP
• Focusing on one or more strategic customers to ensure a successful delivery of value.
• Adept at strategic planning with understanding how to identify business needs, problems, and risks.
• Leading and being deeply involved in the hands-on technical delivery of customer projects
• Driving solution architecture and best practices by:
o Contributing to internal tooling
o Producing white papers and best practices guides
o Mentoring other fellow Cloud Architects
o Producing public facing content such as blog posts and presentations
o Implementing PoC's making use of innovative technology by evaluating trending technologies
• Enabling clients to visualise the possibilities of leveraging public cloud and the path to get there.
• Constantly investigating and evaluating industry trends
What are we looking for?
• Experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield and/or migration projects using public cloud
• Coding - Proficiency with most provider specific services and experience architecting and implementing
• Deep technical experience in one or more of the following competencies:
o Software design or development (continuous delivery/integration, adoption of DevOps practices)
o Systems Operations / Management
o Enterprise Architecture
o Infrastructure Design
o IT Security and Governance
o Automation and System Orchestration
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer facing experience of a consultative nature
• Delivers upskilling training sessions
• Provides advice and guidance within expert community via available channels.
• Acts as a role model for other team members. Provides informal 1-2-1 technical mentoring and guidance to other team members.
