In this position you will work closely with the MSK Optimal Living and Wellness Project Manager, Wellness Care Coordinator, patients, medical oncologists, and other healthcare providers.You are:

You will:
Design, implement, and evaluate exercise & fitness -related programs, exercise lecture series, departmental in-services, fitness classes, health fairs, and web-based programs from evidence based research.
Provide in-person and telehealth exercise counseling services to eligible individuals regarding the principles of training as it relates to aerobic, resistance, balance and flexibility.
Performs initial exercise screening and document exercise risk level classification (e.g. low, moderate or high risk); includes collecting medical and physical activity history.
Administers direct (e.g., Cardiopulmonary exercise test) and/or indirect exercise tests (e.g., Cooper 12min Run Test, Leger 20m Shuttle Run), balance tests and measures of Functional Capacity (e.g., 6-minute walk test, Stand-up-and-go, Functional Movement Screens)
Provides actionable and personalized exercise recommendations based on risk, research and goals assessment.
In collaboration with the MSK Optimal Living and Wellness Project Manager, oversee exercise/fitness vendor relationships and monitor performance.
Develop, market, and distribute exercise & fitness and ergonomics related health education information
You need:
A Master's degree in Exercise Physiology
2-4 years experience in worksite wellness or Exercise Physiology
Strong interest in special populations wellness and research
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Well organized and able to prepare and demonstrate and discuss exercise principles.
Able to think independently and creatively to develop successful exercise training plans and public programs.
