Offering a wide range of baccalaureate and master’s degrees, in more than thirty academic departments and professional schools, as well as participating in the doctoral programs of The City University of New York, Hunter College has been a leading engine of social mobility for every generation of New Yorkers since the college’s founding in 1870, especially the newest Americans.The Computer Science Department at Hunter College is inviting applications for a Lecturer Doctoral Schedule position to perform the following duties: Teach, design curricula, and oversee adjuncts and undergraduate teaching assistants in lectures with 200+ students that make up the pedagogy for the core undergraduate computer science curriculum. Participate in committee functions and disseminate departmental assignments. Teach courses at the master’s level and/or in computer science education. Work collaboratively and contribute to departmental strengths in teaching. Lead efforts to broaden participation in computing both across disciplines, including, but not limited to communications, film and media, economics, geographical sciences, lab sciences, and diverse populations across the campus.QUALIFICATIONSPHD degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or closely related field of study.Must have demonstrated ability with:

Computer Science and Computation;

Teaching and course instruction, scholarship and achievement; and

Cooperation amongst staff members and company administration.

COMPENSATIONSalary commensurate with education and experience.
