Collaborate with peer developers in the Highbridge Investment Technology team and other Infrastructure teams at JPMorgan Chase, particularly in support of the Highbridge AWS Cloud Platform
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Direct interactions with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and teams in Middle Office, Finance, and Compliance
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Advanced in in Java/Python and React JS, preferably in Hedge Funds, Asset Management, or Investment Banking
Experience with Snowflake
Expertise in architecture, design, and system integrations
Experience with AWS Public Cloud Technologies and Terraform
Proficient in Database technologies such as RDS Oracle and RDS SQL Server, with strong SQL query skills
Experience in Agile development teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies
Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills across full-stack applications
Capability to work independently or collaboratively to meet project goals
Flexibility to handle various roles from technical business analysis and development to DevOps, covering all aspects of the software development lifecycle
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Prior exposure/experience to SRE responsibilities will be helpful - Monitoring Dashboards, Alerts & Notification Management for AWS Services & App Services
Datadog prior working experience would be a plus
Familiarity or prior working knowledge with vendor systems - Arcesium, Eze, and Bloomberg is advantageous
