FULL time and Open Availability a MUST

This position is Full Time and located in a NYC Boutique Hotel

Seamstress Responsibilities:

Accurately measuring customers using tape measures to ensure proper fit of garments.

Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.

Altering or repairing customers' garments and other articles, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams.

Fitting garments on customers to determine how the alterations should be done.

Constructing garments and other articles according to customers’ specifications and preferences.

Labeling customers' garments and articles and recording the alterations required.

Communicating with customers to determine their specifications, needs, and preferences.

Using irons and pressing machines to erase the creases on garments and other articles.

We are also looking for Hotel Room Attendants and Houseperson pay based on experience 16-23/Hour

Hotel Experience 100% Necessary minimum 1 year

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Room Attendant:

Pick up extra cleaning supplies in the Housekeeping department.

Clean assigned quota daily according to standards.

Maintain a clean and neat area at all times.

Replace amenities as necessary.

Report all maintenance problems to Supervisor

Keep linen closets clean.

Stock area for next day.

Check vacuum bags twice a day, emptying if full.

Offer assistance in a courteous manner.

Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.

Comply with OSHA safety standards and blood borne pathogens.

Must be able to carry 50lb and stand for at least 7 hours.

Must have a GREAT attitude with great customer service

Timeliness and attendance must be impeccable

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Houseperson:

Maintain public areas clean at all times

Sort and distribute Clean Linen

Sort Dirty Linen for pick up

Maintain a clean and neat area at all times.

Replace guest room amenities as necessary.

Report all maintenance problems to Supervisor

Offer assistance in a courteous manner.
