We are currently hiring for an AM Prep/Receiver position.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Prep/Receiver position is to prep food and beverage items for service according to par levels and requisition sheets, as well as receiving daily orders, checking order items for accuracy, and unpacking and stocking received orders.
- Keyholding responsibility, including ensuring proper safety and security measures are followed.
- Daily prep of food menu items, including making sauces, pre-plating/packaging items, cooking, mixing, toasting, etc.
- Daily prep of beverage menu items, including cutting garnishes, making syrups, mixing cocktail batches.
- Receiving all deliveries; checking deliveries against order sheets for accuracy and noting any discrepancies. Unpacking deliveries and stocking in the appropriate storage areas.
- Assisting with inventory counts.
- Operating as a member of the team, helping others and requesting help as needed.
- Performing opening/closing duties and sidework from checklist.
- Communicating all 86’d items to managers in a timely manner.
- Performing other duties as requested by management.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Following and executing the service standards as outlined in the service manual.
- Following all procedures and policies set forth by the company.
- Further duties not currently listed in this outline may be added at management’s discretion.
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude, ability to remain calm, efficient, and problem solve under pressure
- Impeccable attention to guest experience above all else
- Excellent understanding of different cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Knowledge of bar item preparation, including, but not limited to, syrups, batches, garnishes, infusions, tinctures
- Highly organized, working cleanly and efficiently.
- Must be able to lift, handle, and carry stock deliveries, food, small wares, equipment, supplies and paper goods
- Must be able to work as part of a team, both taking direction and self-motivating
- Must take pride in the quality, consistency, and presentation of all items served
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Department of health compliance
- Food Handler certified
Physical Requirements:
- Walk and stand for entire shift
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting
- Able to work efficiently in crowded and/or tight areas
- Hazards include, but are not limited to: cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping
- Must be able to taste – to be able to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel and smell – to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to their appeal and level of intensity for all food and beverage products
- Must be able to work in an environment subject to extreme cold (30 degrees), heat (temperatures above 100 degrees), loud noises from restaurant equipment, machinery, and music
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, other team members, vendors and guests
- Ability to understand communication in English
Position is Full Time, Tuesday through Saturday with morning and afternoon availability; shift start times can be flexible.
