BUTLER is looking for an experienced PASTRY PRODUCTION CHEF/COOK to join our team of professionals at our location in SOHO.
Job Description:
Daily production for all pastries and breads
Work with FOH to establish and meet par levels
Communicate effectively and provide leadership to a small pastry production team
Developing and creating pastries with our Executive chef and Management Team
Daily quality checks of products
Qualification Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cafe/restaurant with a focus on pastry and breads
-A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries
-Prior experience with laminated dough, cake mixes and breads
-Experience with service and expediting
-Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter
-Dependable and hard-working
-Sociable and friendly to staff and guests. We believe personality is your biggest asset.
-Maintain a clean, sanitary & well-organized kitchen at all times.
-Train staff in proper cleaning procedures, protocols and guidelines set by the Dept. of Health.
-Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards (NYC Food Handler's License is mandatory).
-Must be available to work on early/opening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
