We are a cocktail bar and cafe in Ridgewood looking to hire a porter/cook starting immediately. Must be able to take on daily (8am) cleaning of the premises 6 days per week as well as food prep, setup and maintenance. Must have restaurant kitchen experience and food handlers certificate.
The job includes preparing and plating food items from our small menu during day and some night shifts, operating dishwasher, bussing and expo. Must have experience in all these fields.
The right candidate is a jack of all trades in the service industry with a great work ethic, able to handle equipment and appliance maintenance, cleaning, receiving and sorting deliveries, bussing tables, bar backing, food prep, dishwashing, basic handy work, plant care. Must be trustworthy and be a good communicator.
This is a full time position. Must be available to start immediately. Must include references to previous employers.
