About Us
Bertoni Gelato is a family-run artisanal gelato shop and café opening soon in Williamsburg, combining the craft of Italian gelato with specialty coffee. We’re looking for warm, energetic team members who care about quality, hospitality, and detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks (La Marzocco experience a plus)
Serve artisanal gelato and guide guests through flavor selections
Create coffee-gelato pairings such as affogatos and matcha floats
Handle POS transactions and maintain accurate cash register operations
Restock supplies, cups, cones, napkins, etc.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the shop: counters, floors, windows, bathrooms
Assist with opening/closing duties and basic prep as needed
Uphold Bertoni’s standards for service, presentation, and cleanliness
Qualifications
Prior barista or hospitality experience preferred
Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent customer service
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Punctual, responsible, and proactive attitude
Interest in artisanal gelato and specialty coffee
Compensation: $16.50–$18.00/hr + tips
Schedule: Flexible scheduling available
