Job Details
Upon The Palace, a new asian restaurant in Tribeca excited to announce an opportunity of Bartender at our Greenwich St. location . The Bartender makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism.
Reports to the Director of Operations and General Manager.
Essential Duties:
Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Management Team.
Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
On occasion serves meals to guests as needed.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 YEARS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (Preferable Toast experience )
Experience with event bartender
Passion for providing extraordinary service
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Warm and friendly personality with a great sense of humor
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Knowledge of wine, spirits, sake, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes
Possesses food knowledge and food service at the bar
Professional and courteous demeanor
Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors
Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
Bilingual English and Chinese is a plus
Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

HOST STAFF
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Work with a smile
Exude warmth and provided sincere hospitality at the door on the phone
Take full ownership of your sidework to ensure its completion
Keep the coatcheck area, Maitre d’ stand, and bathrooms clean and organized throughout the shift
Escort guests to their table with the ability to carry drinks on a tray
Provide the maître d’ table status updates throughout the shift
Field phone calls while being able to accurately quote reservation times that are available
Assist guests with their coats and belongings
Look beyond your primary responsibilities to assist the team as needed
Position Requirements:
Comfort fielding phone calls, transferring/holding calls, and making reservations
Ability to speak clearly, confidently and at the right pace
Available to work weekends, days, nights, and holidays
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of Resy and Opentable reservation platforms
Excellent communication
Minimum 1 year of NYC Restaurant Experience in high volume, fine dining restaurants
Able to stand for a 6-8 hour shifts
Available to work late nights, holidays and long day
