Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selection
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with banquet or catering events as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or catering setting preferred
- Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the specific location)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (such as kegs or cases of alcohol)
