Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional and experienced Captain to join our esteemed fine dining team. The captain will oversee and ensure the seamless operation of the dining room, providing exceptional service to guests while leading a team of servers and bussers. The ideal candidate will be an expert in guidelines of fine dining service, hospitality, possess strong leadership skills, and demonstrate a passion for delivering a high-quality dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Relations: Provide personalized, attentive service to all guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the service team, including servers and bussers.
Menu Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the restaurant's menu, including food, specials, wine, and cocktail offerings, to offer expert recommendations and answer guest inquiries.
Order Management: Ensure accurate and efficient communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, managing orders, pacing, and special requests.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.
Service Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of service, including timing, presentation, and attention to detail, ensuring a flawless dining experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fine dining or high-end hospitality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of fine dining service etiquette, wine pairings, and gourmet food.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
Must work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in wine or beverage management, with the ability to suggest pairings and provide recommendations.
