Aptly named, Le Gratin located in Downtown Manhattan is seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual who is passionate about pastry to join the team.
The Pastry Cook will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for elegant and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible service and is responsible for the production and organization of the pastry station.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the production of desserts, rotation and usage of the products and produces and professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. Full knowledge of pastry techniques including the principles and formulas concerning starches, fats, sugars, liquids, eggs and flavorings. French bistro experience preferred.
This position is hourly-based.
