Now in our 11th year, The Drunken Munkey is seeking a Cocktail Bartender to join our team.
We offer up to 3 Shifts per week - learning and working within a small and strong longstanding team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of classic and house specialty cocktails, wines and spirits with precision and consistency.
- Provide outstanding customer service - greeting and assisting customers with their orders.
- Batch cocktails, make syrups, and press fresh juices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and service areas.
- Handle sales transactions and ensure accuracy in order processing.
- Assist in stocking and inventory management.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume Cocktail Bar service. (NYC exp. not a must)
- General and working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and wines.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes using specialized ice, glassware and garnishes
- A creative streak with the use of proper cocktail making techniques - ingredients, flavors, and presentation.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and professional manners - with guests as well as coworkers.
- Polished and well groomed, with a caring and friendly personality and a strong sense of focusing on details.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- NYC Food handler's permit (preferred).
