Platinum Plus Café is looking for a talented and motivated General Manager/Barista to join our team! The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years, experience in a specialty coffee environment and be able to operate espresso machines, grinders, drip coffee machines ect, have previous experience with managing inventory and doing stock count, place orders with vendors, perform opening and closing shifts and manage the day to day operation, be proactive, invested and passionate about all -things Coffee!, have a get it done attitude and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily workflow of the operation.
Evaluate team performance.
Receive and verify incoming shipments, Ensure quality of all products according to/NYC policies. Conduct regular inventory and sanitary checks.
Daily record of coffee production and waste
Perform other related duties as assigned ( assignments may vary).
Increase sale, creating daily sales target and goals.
Make sure that store is clean and organized by OM and DOH standards
Ensure Barista Check food and ingredients for freshness.
Arrange and garnish menu items
Work well under pressure and within the time limit
Work closely with staff to support efficiency and communication
Ensure proper food preparation, handling and rotation
Schedule Barista training as needed
Ensure that staff clean working environment at all times
Uphold and enforce all company policies and requirements
Ensure all coffee equipment is clean and operable on a daily basis
Manage food waste
Enforce all health code and food + safety requirements
Requirements
Prior experience in a specialty coffee environment (3yrs )
Thorough experience with food preparation
Ability to use espresso machine, grinders, drip coffee machine ect
Ability to work in a high paced environment.
Report to Management
Understand and comply with all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Availability to work shifts, extended hours, weekends and holidays
Able to move quickly and efficiently
Ability to work well in a team.
Must have a New York Food Handlers’ Certificate.
